SAML V2.0 Metadata Interoperability Profile v1.0 [1] was approved as a Committee Specification on 04 August 2009. The TC has received 3 Statements of Use from the Shibboleth Consortium, Internet2, and SUNET [2]. Please indicate below whether or not you approve submitting the CS to the OASIS membership for consideration as a Candidate OASIS Standard.
The SAML V2.0 Metadata Extensions for Login and Discovery User Interface v1.0 [3] was approved as a Committee Specification on 03 April 2012. The TC has received 3 Statements of Use from the Shibboleth Consortium, Internet2, and SUNET [4]. Please indicate below whether or not you approve submitting the CS to the OASIS membership for consideration as a Candidate OASIS Standard.
Approving this ballot will result in a 60-day public reviews after which, if no comments are received, the COSs will be submitted to a membership call for consent. If comments are received, the TC will be asked to vote by Special Majority Ballot on whether to continue to the membership vote. This is explained in TC Process section 3.4.2, Public Review of a Candidate OASIS Standard [5].
This ballot requires a Special Majority Vote [6]. The TC roster currently lists 5 voting members. In order to pass, at least 4 (2/3 x 5) members have to vote Yes and no more than 1 (1/4 x 5) member may vote No.
