The purpose of the OASIS UIML Specification TC is to develop a specification for an abstract meta-language that can provide a canonical XML representation of any user interface (UI). The language should be capable of specifying the requirements, design, and implementation of any UI.

uiml: the list used by TC members to conduct Committee work. TC membership required to post. TC members are automatically subscribed; the public may view archives.
uiml-comment: a public mail list for providing input to the OASIS uiml Technical Committee members. Send a comment or view archives.
Current TC Activities
The User Interface Markup Language TC is currently engaged in these activities:
- Submit the Committee Draft for public review.
- Compile feedback on the Committee Draft to progress the Draft toward a Committee Specification.
- Update of the TC Charter.
