IDPF vendor ID

What should be the vendor ID for the IDPF reference driver

The reference driver put out by Intel has a vendor ID of Intel and is placed in the /net/ethernet/intel folder.

Should the common driver carry two or more vendor IDs or we all agree to Intel vendor ID as the defacto one.
