Do you approve continuing with the submission of Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) Version 1.1 [1] to the OASIS membership for consideration for OASIS Standard?
Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) Version 1.1 completed its 60 day public review and received comments. The TC has determined that the comments require no changes to the current Committee Specification. The log of the comments and their resolution can be found at https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/48945/CMIS-v1.1-COS01-PublicComments.docx.
Passing this ballot will result in an OASIS membership ballot being started to consider approving the Candidate OASIS Standard. The ballot requires that 15% of the OASIS member companies vote in favor. If less than 15% vote in favor or if more than 25% vote against, the ballot will fail. There are currently 326 OASIS member companies (although this number may change before the ballot). Using this number, at least 49 companies would need to vote in favor to pass.
This ballot requires a Special Majority Vote. The TC roster currently lists 19 voting members. In order to pass, at least 13 (2/3 x 19) members have to vote Yes and no more than 5 (1/4 x 19) members may vote No.
This is explained in TC Process section 3.4.3, Balloting for OASIS Standard approval [2].
